What is GRC? Understand governance, risk and compliance as a system, how it works in practice, and why it becomes essential as organisations grow.

One of the first things that becomes more difficult as an organisation grows is understanding how that work is being done, who is responsible for it, and whether it is aligned with what the organisation is trying to achieve.

At an early stage, much of this is held together through proximity and shared context. People know what is happening because they are close to it. As the organisation becomes more complex, that way of operating starts to break down.

This is the point where GRC begins to matter as a way of bringing structure to how the organisation operates.
